AFEPASA GENERAL MANAGER MANEL MONTAÑO SPEAKS AT THE 2ND ACEFER FERTILIZATION CONGRESS

Following the great success of the 1st Fertilization Congress organised by ACEFER in 2017, which was attended by more than 200 people, this year the 2nd Fertilization Congress was organised under the title “Fertilizers and Biotechnology, Moving Towards the Future”.

The event took place at the Hotel Eurostars Mirasierra in Madrid and addressed topics such as advances in fertilizers with inhibitors, aspects of sulphur with great relevance for the future, the fertilization-soil relationship, as well as the use of satellite imagery to manage crops.

For AFEPASA, this was its second participation in the congress, but the first time taking an active role, as the company’s General Manager, Manel Montaño, was one of the speakers. Montaño addressed the importance of using elemental sulphur due to its role in balancing conductivity, lowering pH, increasing microbiota and improving the plant’s uptake of macronutrients. In addition, Cristina Comas, biotechnologist and member of AFEPASA’s R&D team, presented the new SULTECH technology: sulphur biostimulation. This technology delivers improved crop performance, increasing protein content, enhancing nitrogen uptake, increasing drought tolerance, improving the quality of organoleptic properties and increasing photosynthesis.
